Forest County Potawatomi Museum

A Community Effort

A team led by Bluewater Studio, in partnership with the Forest County Potawatomi Community, developed this stunning new exhibit within a unique 12-sided gallery, resulting in a highly engaging and educational visitor experience.

Acclaimed by the community and visitors alike, this exhibit features a magnificent range of physical elements, hands-on interactives, artifact cases, elegantly designed and printed wall graphics, a custom-designed epoxy floor, and multiple media experiences – including an immersive theatre space with a “Who We Are” video experience.

As the lead firm for this comprehensive design-build project, our work includes the planning, scheduling, project management, fabrication, and installation of the entire exhibition – including collaborating on plans for the demolition of the former exhibits and providing direction for the renovation of the gallery space.

“This means a lot to our community…we’re able to share our culture, traditions and also…continue passing that down to the next generation.” –Heather VanZile, Vice-Chair, Forest County Potawatomi Executive Council
