A Welcoming Environment
The University of Chicago Medical Center is a nationally ranked academic medical center with hospitals, outpatient clinics and physician practices throughout Chicago and its suburbs.
Bluewater Studio collaborated with the Perkins&Will Branded Environments team, 3form, and Turner Construction Company to manage, engineer, fabricate and install this project for UChicago’s new ambulatory center.
Our work includes multiple branded 3form feature walls areas with high resolution graphic interlayers, LED seating nook areas and 3form corner wraps throughout the space.
Additionally, Bluewater Studio created a beautiful suspended accent piece made with 400 translucent acrylic squares in vertical layers, using colors inspired by the natural beauty of nearby Lake Michigan.
This human-forward design helps to remove the clinical feel from a doctor’s visit and create a tranquil, comfortable experience for patients and staff alike.
