Battle of Franklin / Carter House Visitor Center

A New Visitor Experience

Bluewater Studio, in partnership with WeatherstonBruer Associates, is proud to lead the design, fabrication, and installation of a 1,900 square-foot interpretive exhibition and visitor experience at the new Carter House Visitor Center & Museum.

Over 150 years ago, the Battle of Franklin became a pivotal and devastating conflict in the Civil War’s Western theater. This battle, marked by profound loss and sacrifice, significantly shaped American history.

The visitor center will provide an immersive experience, deepening guests’ understanding of the battle’s events. The exhibition will explore what led up to the battle, the military strategies and combat on the grounds, as well as the enduring effects of the Civil War on communities and individuals.

The collaboration between Bluewater Studio and the Battle of Franklin Trust team will create an impactful visitor experience that educates, engages, and inspires visitors as they explore this historically significant site.
